One evening watching a basement window basement, Mona sees and suspects a neighbor Mr. Williams, leaning on a replica in miniature of the village where everything is faithfully represented: streetlights, cars ... and the small inhabitants! Neighbors who were, it was believed, on vacation, are actually been miniaturized to populate the Model Village.
